A Knowledge-Base System for Vegetables and Pest Control Techniques

The proponents developed a system entitled “A Knowledge-Base System for Vegetables and Pest Control Techniques”. The system is a web-based that designed to give information about vegetables here in Partido State University Salogon Campus. This system will guide those local vegetables farmers who are not familiar in pest that will intact to the vegetables and how to control it either organic or synthetics pesticides. The proponent provides four modules. First, the Account Management which is for the user to register an account, add user account and update their own account, Search would be the guide to the knowledge to knowledge-based system it has different functions of search which vegetables or pest information, the user will only to do is to search data related to the system. Lastly, is the admin in the system that manipulate and maintained the system can only access to edit, delete and update the data information. This system was designed using PHP (PHP Hypertext Pre-processor) as the server-side scripting language and MySQL as a database server for storing and managing the data on the database. The system was processed and developed using the Prototype Model SDLC. Bracket for test and Google chrome for displaying of web pages and for presentation. The overall performance in evaluating the about the system the Knowledge-Based System of Vegetables and Pest Control Techniques gets an agree virtual interpretation with an average weighted mean of 4.4. The “Knowledge-Base System for Vegetables and Pest Control Techniques” has a good system performance and the functionalities of the system are properly working. This means that the system is helpful to the Partido State University Salogon Campus. This clearly means that the system can provide to knowledgeable information and helps provides reliable information to the users about the herbal plants they are browsing. The Knowledge-Bases System of Vegetables and Pest Control Techniques by the researcher to enhance knowledge and gain more information of it to the future researchers they can expand and add more different kinds of useful and effective vegetable’s crop and pest control techniques that might help to the local farmers.

A Web-Based Advertisement of Resorts in Partido Area

This study entitled: A WEB-BASED ADVERTISEMENT OF RESORTS IN PARTIDO AREA focused on the design and development of website using CMS (Content Management System), advertising the different beach resorts with Partido (4th District of Camarines Sur) through internet. This website is composed of images, videos and different information of beach resort arranged according to its Municipalities. It used CMS for the accounts that will be given to the resort owner who will advertise their resort business on this website, here they can update easily all the information’s in their services and facilities they offer, and will be seen in their specific profile. It also includes information of weather conditioned covered by Partido area so that the user can determine the weather in place where the resort is located, map of each municipality highlighted the location and time and date for the user to easily determine while he/she is using the website. A comment box where the user can post their suggestions, inquiries and questions regarding the different beach resort is also included. The website will be a big help for both foreign and local tourist of Partido Area in finding new destinations and places for them to relax, have a vacation and adventure in the coastal island of the Partido District in Camarines Sur. It will also help the tourism industry that Partido Development Administration (PDA) promotes in Partido Area, who will handle the system.

For having problems encountered by both students and teachers on learning and teaching of evaluating algebraic specially polynomials and graphing algebraic equations this becomes an opportunity for the researchers to develop a toll that can help both of the students and the teachers. With the existence of Computer Aided Instructors, researchers developed a new system entitle “AlgebMath”. This study is designed for educational purposes and geared towards some parts of college algebra. It aims to give a new approach of evaluating algebraic expression and graphing equations. This will be useful in addition to the traditional way of teaching and learning simplifying algebraic expression and graphing will become more innovative by the use of the computer technology. This project also provides the restoration of students and faculty information, and other relevant information in the system.

Alradjie Enterprise Sales and Reservation System

Alradjie Enterprise Sales and Reservation System is an e-commerce website designed to sell products through online by the exclusive enterprise named “Alradjie Enterprise”. The main objective of this project of this project was to design and develop a web-based system that would help people to shop just by staying at their house to lessen their effort visiting the Enterprise. The users are free to browse their desired items/product and once they decided to make reservations, they need to register in the system first. The process of payment is just easy, namely; Reservation where the enterprise gives the user a 3 days reservation of the product, pay through Palawan Express and after paying the order would be delivered according to the buyer’s information, COD or cash on delivery where the item would be paid during the delivery, and lastly is the pick-up transaction where the buyer would set a date when the buyer would pick-up the product at the exact location of the enterprise and pay during the transaction. The Alradjie Enterprise Sales and Reservation System has four (4) main modules namely; User Management, Managing Items, Managing Order and Purchased Items module. The proponents identified and considered the system requirements to ensure that the system would run properly. The system requirements include software (Windows 7, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Brackets, Apache and Google Chrome) and hardware (CPU, Memory, Hard Disk Drive, Mouse and Keyboard). The proponents used Spiral model as the System Development Life Cycle and it was composed of four different phases such as Planning, Risk Analysis, Development and Testing and System Planning. Dry run was conducted in order to test and evaluate the system’s performance along its functionalities. The average weighted mean for the user was 4.8 with the verbal interpretation of Excellent that prove that the system performance is satisfactory to the users. Based from the findings it was concluded that the system performance is satisfactory, efficient, and user-friendly. The system would be a great help to the enterprise by selling their products to those persons in a distance. Integrating some features and functionalities to the system specially the transaction of payment between the admin and buyer is highly recommended to user in actual transaction.

An Evaluation of Image to Text Algorithm

This study focused on evaluating of five images to text conversion algorithms to identify the best algorithm that can be used to convert images to text and implementing the best among the five algorithms of different paper variations. This answered the following questions: (1) What are the five (5) best algorithms that can be used for image to text conversion? (2) What are the similarities and differences among these algorithms along accuracy, speed and variations of different kinds of images? (3) What software and evaluation tools are needed to create and test the algorithm’s accuracy and other factors in its utilization and implementation? This study employed an experimental method in determining the accuracy and speed of the best algorithm for converting image to text document. The researchers gone through evaluation of different algorithms and measured its performance. In converting image to text format with based from the tests data, accuracy, speed and different variations of images such as types of paper (crumpled/not crumpled), length f documents and text document with images. The researchers tested the algorithms using a given test data in order to select the best algorithms using a given test data in order to select the best algorithm among five (5) algorithms presented.

An Interactive Web-Based Institute of Information Technology Student Organizations Information System

An interactive Web-based Institute of Information Technology Student Organizations Information System is a new way of record management and transaction processing system that would facilitate efficiency in processing information, collection and expenses of the IIT student’s organization. It focused on designing and developing an Interactive Information System for IIT Organization, designed secured e-web system for IIT Organization, created a database storage for the organization information; and developed a gallery for the different activities of the organization. Various methods and tools were used in the development of the system which include identification of the problem, system requirements (e.g., hardware and software), prototyping, beta testing or dry-run, survey and interview. Weighted mean is used in the treatment of the collected data. Findings showed that the system work effectively and are usable and acceptable as perceived by the respondents during the beta testing. This is supported by the average weighted mean of 4.5 which have a verbal interpretation of Strongly Agree. Hence, the system could help facilitate strong organization data in a more secure environment, lessen time in processing transaction as well as, this is a paperless way of keeping data. In order to implement the system, there is a need for the implementers to meet the minimum system requirements such as: Windows 7 as the operating system and google chrome as browser and hardware requirements which is consisted of the following: 2.136GHz dual core for the processor, 2.0 GB RAM memory, 500 GB Hard drive and 128 Video RAM. Also, peripherals such as mouse, keyboard, monitor and printer are important requirements of the system. Moreover, capability building is vital for the personnel in-charge and end-users of the project to effectively serve its purpose. Also, the integration of additional functionalities such as update and delete are suggested for the enhancement of system usability and reliability of the system.

An SIR Model of Dengue Transmission

Dengue is an endemic disease in the Philippines. In this paper, a mathematical constructed a model that captures the transmission of dengue disease in the Philippine setting. The model includes S-R and S-I compartments developed by Esteva and Vargas, reflecting the dengue transmission in the human and a vector population. The human population `N` _`h` consists of three (3) compartments: susceptible humans `S` _`h`, infected humans In, and recovered humans `R` _`h` . While the vector population Nu consist of two (2) compartments: susceptible vector `S` _`v` , and infected vector `I _`v` . The equilibrium points are investigated and results showed one disease-free and one disease-endemic equilibrium points. Further, `R` _`0` is calculated to determine the average number of persons in the secondary class who are newly infected by one infected person in the first class. Furthermore, the numerical simulations are conducted and it was observed that the dengue cases arise in the from 16th to 28th week. In addition, the result of simulation can be used as baseline work to craft policies that can control and prevent increase in number of dengue cases in the country

An SVIR Model of Covid-19

COVID-19 is the most recently discovered infectious disease affecting all countries around the world. SARS-CoV-2, which is a member of the coronavirus family, is the virus that causes the infection. One of the most discussed ideas for the disease to die out is vaccination. In this study, we analyze this idea and show the effect of vaccination for COVID-19. This study worked with an SVIR model. The disease-free equilibrium point of the model was computed, E _0 =(S _0, V _0, I _0, R _0 )=( A/(r+µ), (r⋀)/(r+µ),0,0 ). In addition, numerical simulations of the model were performed using the MATLAB software. Iterative method was used in performing the numerical simulations. The numerical simulations showed that more vaccinated individuals mean less infected. We conclude that vaccination is substantially effective given that people take precautions like wearing masks, maintaining social distance, etc.

Android Based 3d Camera Generator Application

In present time 3D modeling is rapidly growing in terms in producing a wonderful user interface, presentation and especially in terms of gaming. 3D modeling process produce a digital object capable of being fully animated, making it an essential to process for a character animation and special effects. This paper proposes a system that can generate 3D model from multiple images taken from a mobile device such as smart phones. The proposed system can construct 3D model from multiple images. The objective of this paper is that you can capture an image in the real world and use those images to generate a 3D model and can be use in animation, presentation and many more. The system uses the Multi-View Stereo algorithm and Structure from Motion Algorithm to construct a 3D model anywhere using your smart phone. The development of the system used the following hardware and software requirements, methods and tools such as Android Studio Platform for the entire development, implementation and design of the system. And for the Android phone version that use in debugging and testing of the system is version 10. Hence, the result of the study showed that the Android Base Camera 3D Generator Application can generate a 3D model in certain condition such as there is no too much shadow in the images to capture the features of the image taken in the mobile phone and no reflection on the object that wanted to capture and to generate a better result of the 3d model the lightning should be good and the camera should not be far enough to the object that it can't read the features of the object. Furthermore, the future researcher can look for a better algorithm can generate a 3D model without a certain condition or can conduct more precise study similar with this either by adding or changing necessary functions such as the user can capture images by tapping the screen or a button that the user can have time to take better images yet provide an accurate computation that can reduce the generating time and construction of the object from a multiple image.

This study concerned to design and develop a web-based Annotation-Based Image Storage and Retrieval system for PSU Goa Records office. To realize this, Researcher considered following objectives: (1) Classify the different documents or records received and distributed by the Record office. (2) Determine the present steps in keeping and disseminating of Communications. (3) to design a system that will help the Records office to manage and organize the procedure of receiving, disseminating and keeping of Records. (4) to test the proposed system as to: (a) Economical aspects (b) Effectivity (c) Security. The proposed system focused on the conversion of cabinet filing and retrieving of records into a computerized and network-based system in order to manage and keep records accordingly. The descriptive developmental method was used in implementing Documentary Analysis and Unstructured Interview as tools in collecting and gathering data to accomplish the objectives of the study. Internet, reading references like books and other research manuscript were used to conceptualized the development of the system. The implementation of the system will be of great help to Records office, Program Directors and other office Heads. This study will help the future researchers to serve as a baseline for future studies and other related topics. From the study conducted, analysis of the data revealed that the existing manual procedure have weaknesses in terms of speed and performance. Based from the findings cited, the following conclusion were drawn and conceptualized. The processing speed accession and arrangement of records of the present procedure being followed in Records office will be improved by the implementation and adaptation of the proposed system.
