Mission Statement

The BS Mathematics program at PSU follows CMO No. 48, series of 2017, to ensure consistent quality and improve the rigor of mathematics education. Our goal is to cultivate essential competencies and critical thinking skills, equipping graduates for successful careers and advanced studies.
  1. To produce critically and analytically thinking graduates who will be competent and efficient Computer Science practitioners in meeting the growing demand in government, business, industry and education.
  2. To assimilate and demonstrate the values and traits of Loyalty, Competitive, Discipline, Honesty, Integrity, Team-work and Social Responsibility.
  3. To extend consultative assistance to the local communities to resolve technological transfer and digital divide.
  4. To stimulate its faculty and students to support in advancing the frontiers of computer research in the development of the university, the region and the country.

    BOR Resolution No. 32, s.2023, enriched the BSMath curriculum for the 2023-2024 academic year, in pursuit of ongoing educational reforms that include the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum through the K-12 program

    BOR Resolution No. 41, s.2018, a resolution approving the revision of curriculum offering for the AY 2018-2019 as endorsed by the academic council and CHED ROV, subject to compliance with pertinent CHED Memorandum Orders, DBM issuances, COA directives, and other existing laws.

  3. Curriculum Revision

    The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program was revised for the first time, following BOR Resolution Number 39, Series of 2011 and to take effect for AY 2016-2017. The original curriculum was deemed obsolete and is no longer in use, ensuring the program remains relevant and up-to-date.

  4. Adoption of CMO 19, s.2007

    BOR Resolution No. 39, s. 2011 - A resolution approving the adoption of CMO No. 19, s. 2007 for BS Mathematics Curriculum for AY 2011-2012.

  5. Adoption of CMO 30, s.2004

    Board of Regents approved the offering of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics under the Engineering, Arts, and Sciences Department. This decision was formalized through BOR Resolution Number 63, Series of 2003 and to take effect on AY 2004-2005, marking a significant step in expanding academic offerings within the institution.
